Matthew helps small businesses and startups navigate both growth and conflict with clarity and confidence. His prior experience litigating contract matters, partnership/member disputes, and breaches of fiduciary duty have provided him with the unique perspective to understand the way contract terms and obligations will be interpreted before the court. His practice bridges transactional and dispute resolution work, advising clients on contracts, business operations, entity formation and litigation matters.
Clients appreciate Matthew’s ability to simplify complex issues, his responsiveness under pressure, and his practical, business-minded approach to solving problems. Whether he’s helping structure a new agreement or resolve a partnership dispute, Matthew focuses on strategies that are legally sound, cost-effective, and aligned with his clients’ long-term goals.
Before joining Bend Law Group, Matthew worked at a San Francisco litigation firm handling landlord-tenant matters. He holds a J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Journal of Air and Space Law and volunteered with the Mississippi Innocence Project. He earned dual business degrees in Supply Chain Management and Information Systems Management from California State University, Chico.
Matthew is admitted to practice in California, Texas, and the Northern and Central U.S. District Courts of California.
Outside the office, you’ll often find Matthew playing guitar or hitting the road on a new adventure with his fiancée.
